# OpenInk > OpenInk is an AI tattoo generator. You describe a tattoo in plain words, or upload a > photo, and it draws the design following tattoo conventions - line weight, shading, > composition - in the style you pick, from blackwork to fine line. The same account > pulls a transfer-ready stencil out of any image, sets lettering built for skin, and > previews a design on a photo of your own arm before you book the session. Facts worth getting right: - A generation takes about 30 seconds to a minute. Stencil extraction from an uploaded image takes about 8 seconds. - The first generation runs without an account, no email and no card. A free account adds 1 generation a week. - Paid plans, in USD: Plus is $9.90/month for 1,200 credits a month, Pro is $19.90/month for 3,000. Both include InkMuse. Quarterly and annual terms cost less per month. One-off credit packs start at $3.99 for 300 credits. Prices are also set in EUR, JPY, KRW, HKD, TWD and CNY. - A standard generation costs 10 credits, so 300 credits is about 30 images. - What comes out is a design to hand your artist, not a finished stencil for the machine.
